Our Program

At Sherwood Early Learning & Child Care, we offer thoughtful, developmentally appropriate programs for children from 0 months to Kindergarten age. Each program is designed to support emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development through play-based learning, creativity, and meaningful exploration — guided by the Alberta Flight Framework and inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach.

Infant Program

0 – 18 months

Our infant program introduces young children to the joys of learning in a warm, nurturing, and responsive environment. Through play-based activities and gentle guided exploration, we support early development while honoring each child’s individual needs and rhythms.

Toddler Program

19 Months – 2 Years 11 Months

Our toddler program provides a supportive and enriching space where children begin to explore independence, build confidence, and develop essential skills. Learning experiences encourage social interaction, problem-solving, and early cognitive development.

Preschool to Kindergarten Program

3 to 6 years old

Our transitional preschool-to-kindergarten program bridges the gap between early learning and formal schooling. We offer a balanced approach that blends structured learning with creative exploration, supporting each child’s individual strengths and school readiness.

Children are encouraged to think creatively, communicate effectively, and approach challenges with confidence.

Full Time Part Time Drop-in

Full-Time: Care for a child five days a week, up to 8 hours per day, ideal for regular work schedules.
Part-Time: Care for mornings only or any # of days per week, suitable for shorter or flexible schedules..
Drop-In: Short-term or last-minute care for a few hours due to unexpected appointments or when a parent needs a break.
